Brief release of the procedure

In their own words

Biorevitalisation is essentially beauty injections in which small amounts of hyaluronic acid mixed with various vitamin cocktails are injected into problem areas of the face and neck using a syringe. The older a person is, the more wrinkles they have and the better the positive result will be seen. According to cosmetologists and studies, biorevitalisation does help to rejuvenate and smooth out wrinkles.

The repetition of the course depends on each person and their skin properties. And the product has a build-up effect, so their frequency will decrease over time.

Opinions/feedback from cosmetologists

Our skin needs hyaluronic acid to keep it young and firm. It's the substance responsible for the skin's turgor (elasticity) and hydration. But the fact is that from the age of 25, the formation of hyaluronic acid in the human body stops, and ageing begins. A lack of hyaluronic acid is what causes skin ageing.
Ksenia Antonovna Sokolova
Dermatovenerologist, trichologist, mycologist, cosmetologist, podologist
Biorevitalisation sessions are carried out in a course of 3 to 5 sessions at intervals of 2-4 weeks. However, there are several rejuvenation regimens, each with a different frequency of treatment.

After a visit to a beautician, fine lines and wrinkles can be expected to disappear. However, for complete removal of wrinkles it is better to use other techniques (such as contouring or injections, which are more beneficial). Hyaluronic acid is primarily aimed at preventing the appearance of age-related changes, returning the skin to the desired degree of hydration and elasticity (this is what makes a woman look fresh and healthy).
Gintovt Yelizaveta Alexeyevna
Dermatovenerologist, cosmetologist, MD, PhD
Biorevitalisation as a method of intradermal injections of hyaluronic acid can restore and normalise metabolic processes in the dermis; for 15 years this method has proven its effectiveness. The skin needs biorevitalisation to restore normal cell function, activate the synthesis of endogenous hyaluronic acid. Thus, the procedure can improve the quality of the skin, help to cope with flabbiness and other signs of age-related changes. If a woman in the menopausal period says that hyaluronic acid injection is ineffective, and the skin becomes more swollen and dry after the procedure, such signs indicate that the patient should be referred to an endocrinologist. Hypothyroidism is common in this age group, and once thyroid function is normalised the injections will be very effective, the skin will become moisturised rather than dry.
Yudina Diana Nikolaevna
Dermatovenerologist, cosmetologist
After a course of treatments, we obtain results, the duration of which depends primarily on the patient's lifestyle, the presence of stressful situations, frequency of air travel and time zone changes, general health, exacerbation of chronic pathologies, as well as the resorption capacity of the skin, accompanying and subsequent cosmetic procedures. A new course of revitalisation is prescribed after 6-8 months. As you know, you get used to a good thing quickly, and if a patient leads an "unhealthy" lifestyle, it can feel as if the results have faded or even worse than before.

Opinion of reputable international sources on biorevitalisation

Study authors:
Research: Hyaluronic acid and carbon dioxide injections can be used for biorevitalisation and skin rejuvenation.
METHODS: Three groups of 62 patients were formed. Patients with facial, neck and/or décolletage wrinkles.
Results: According to these tests, the differences in values after one week and at the end of the study are significant. No side effects were reported.
Conclusions. The treatment protocol used in this study produced statistically significant facial rejuvenation results in mild, moderate and severe ageing.
Study authors:
Purpose: This study evaluated the effectiveness of an injection solution (32 mg hyaluronic acid plus an anti-ageing antioxidant complex consisting of vitamins, minerals and amino acids) in treating skin ageing and photoageing.
METHODS: A total of 64 female volunteers (37-60 years of age) underwent four biorevitalisation sessions at 3-week intervals, including several injections in the face (outer corner of the eye and cheek), neck, décolletage area and the back of the hands. Aesthetic results were assessed at baseline and after 6, 9 and 12 weeks.
Results: the instrumental evaluation after the second biorevitalisation treatment already showed the anti-aging effectiveness of the tested product; Clinical and statistically significant improvements in profilometry, skin brightness, pigmentation and deep skin hydration were observed.
Conclusion: The study confirmed the known effectiveness of biorevitalisation in skin rejuvenation. The positive difference between deep and superficial skin hydration registered at the end of the trial indicates improved moisture retention in the stratum corneum of the skin. In addition, the results suggest that the injected product may intervene at various points in the skin pigmentation process, activating the internal photoprotective mechanism and improving the quality of skin pigmentation.

The benefits of facial biorevitalisation

Security

Hyaluronic acid is an all-natural, hypoallergenic substance that is compatible with human skin. The occurrence of side effects is extremely rare.

Simplicity

There is no complicated special preparation for the procedure and no long rehabilitation period.

Painless

Anaesthetic cream is applied to the injection sites. The procedure is easily tolerated and does not cause any pain.

Effectiveness

The cosmetic effect is immediate after the session. Only 3 to 4 treatments a month apart are needed to ensure that the results are long-lasting.

Fast

the procedure takes an average of 15 to 20 minutes

Low trauma

There is minimal damage to the skin, as the injection is carried out with a thin mesotherapy needle, by intradermal injection.

Redness and slight swelling of the skin at the injection sites are normal. These symptoms disappear on their own within 1-3 days after biorevitalisation.

Side effects

The procedure is generally well tolerated. The occurrence of papules (bumps at the injection site), bruising, slight swelling during the first 2-3 days is normal. These symptoms are related to the way of introduction of hyaluronic acid and its displacement of tissues. These conditions go away on their own and sometimes do not occur at all.

A reason to see a doctor is:

  • Persistence of swelling and bruising for 7-10 days or more.
  • Presence of granulomatous lesions at the injection site.
  • Significant allergic reaction (itching, burning, rash, redness, swelling).
  • Signs of skin infection.
  • Depigmentation.

In any case, if the patient is concerned about anything (pain, appearance of the hyaluronic acid treatment area, deterioration of the general condition), he or she should be consulted by a specialist.

Contraindications for biorevitalisation
  • Any acute infection
  • Herpes exacerbation
  • Purulent inflammation of the skin in the area of the procedure.
  • Any autoimmune diseases
  • Malignant neoplasms
  • Reduced blood clotting
  • Diabetes mellitus, congenital and acquired immunodeficiencies
  • Prone to the formation of keloid scars
Indications for facial biorevitalisation
  • Dry, dehydrated skin;
  • Reduced skin elasticity, which can occur due to age or other reasons;
  • The little wrinkles..;
  • Poor skin condition in general, which can be caused by constant exposure to sunlight, smoking or stressful situations;
  • Prevention of age-related changes;
  • Skin recovery after chemical peels and laser resurfacing;
  • Preparation of the face for UV treatments. The fact is that hyaluronic acid helps to protect against free radicals, which are produced by exposure to ultraviolet light. It can also moisturise the skin, which will lose a lot of moisture in high temperatures;
  • Unhealthy skin tone, presence of age spots. Biorevitalisation helps to protect skin with excessive pigmentation and gradually restores its pleasant healthy colour. For maximum effect, this treatment can be complemented with a median peel and other cosmetic procedures;
  • Enlarged pores and increased oiliness. Some products containing hyaluronic acid normalise sebum activity.
  • It's worth noting that biorevitalisation is a great way not only to correct imperfections, but also to maintain skin health for preventative purposes. To maintain the beauty and freshness of your face, you can book an appointment for the procedure as early as age 25.

Feedback from private users

I really regret doing these treatments. Not only do you feel like an alcoholic in the middle of a binge, or like you've fallen face down in a cactus 🌵 but the effects are short-lived and the effects are unclear.
After a course of biorevitalisation, of course, when the swelling goes down, the effect on the face is visible. The skin becomes tighter due to the fact that hyaluronic acid attracts water. For the same reason the skin is more moisturised and smoother. It is as if the skin is inflated from within. And it does, it is really inflated with this hyaluronic acid.
In general, there is an effect, but not a wow factor. The effect of biorevitalisation (specifically in terms of hydration and skin smoothing) lasts, in my experience, a maximum of two months.
My main concerns were unhealthy colour, loss of firmness, the first signs of ageing and dry skin.

It took us about 15-20 minutes to finish, my face was burning, and when I looked at myself in the mirror, I recoiled in horror. I was covered in small red blisters (papules), and the stress and excitement had made me blotchy red, which completed the picture.

There was practically no swelling. After 4 days, there were no visible effects at all, except for a bruise or two, which were successfully masked with concealer.

For another three or four days there was swelling. I looked like I had been drinking from morning till night for the last 10 years of my life. Together with the bruises, it was a very sad sight.

After about a week, all the effects were gone, it seemed that the torment was finally over and you could enjoy the effects!

But there was nothing to enjoy - there was NO EFFECT.

At all. Not at all. Not a drop.

It has now been a month since my first treatment and I can see absolutely no change in my skin.

Will I ever repeat the course? Yes, probably, but with a different product and possibly with a different cosmetologist.

And now I'm on the lookout for other more effective treatments.
I had partially undergone biorevitalisation before, so I knew what I was in for. I didn't have much fear. I went into the procedure with peace of mind and joy.

The most interesting thing is the results. I didn't get ten years younger. But my skin has tightened. It's tighter, you can feel it and you can see it. Cheek wrinkles when I smile are gone. Under the eyes at first they were gone but now at the end of two months, there are small facial wrinkles, more physiological and natural. There are no bright wrinkles, as there were before. The acne scars are not completely gone but they have reduced in depth and some not so deep ones have evened out.

I'm very happy with my skin condition now, apart from minor mishaps. I'm glad I had this procedure. But again, it's for younger girls.

Prices

Prices for biorevitalisation may vary depending on the area injected, the number of injections and the product chosen.

Preparations for the procedure

The cosmetic surgeons at Seline Clinic of Aesthetic Medicine use at least 5 products from well-known brands for the biorevitalisation procedure. The range has been selected taking into account the age of patients, their tendency to allergic reactions, dermatological problems and price.

The most popular are fillers under these brand names:

Teosyal. The country of manufacture is Switzerland. This range of biorevitalisants is fully biocompatible and even exceeds all European standards in terms of quality.

Juvederm. Manufactured in France/USA. A distinctive feature is the presence of mannitol, which slows down the breakdown of hyaluronate. Consequently, the effect of the treatment lasts longer.

Novacutan. Produced in France. It is an amino acid complex, which is embedded in a hyaluronic acid molecule. It eliminates and prevents not only age-related changes, but also signs of stress on the skin and sleep problems.

Profhilo. Technologically developed in Switzerland, manufactured in Italy. Its high fluidity allows the gel to be injected at a distance of 3-4 cm from the danger zone, which minimises the risk of complications and increases the boundaries of the area of application.

Jalupro. It is of Italian origin. It has been on the market for more than 20 years. It contains a whole biorevitalising cocktail of amino acids and hyauryluronate. It belongs to the budget category of products.

Men

So, the biorevitalisation procedure helps both men and women who care about their appearance to solve a whole range of aesthetic problems.

The technique is a more effective alternative to cosmetic creams and masks and is used in cases where the face looks tired despite daily care.

How the procedure is carried out

  1. For a safe rejuvenation treatment, it is important to eliminate inflammatory processes on the face. If you are prone to herpetic rashes, start taking antiviral medication 3-4 days before the treatment. A one-week course of vitamin K will help improve blood clotting.
  2. Before the treatment, the beautician removes make-up and treats the skin with an antiseptic. Then an anaesthetic is applied and a plastic wrap is applied for 20-30 minutes. After removing the film, the doctor treats the skin with a chlorhexidine solution and starts the treatment.
  3. Facial biorevitalisation uses a 1-2 ml syringe with a thin needle, 4-13 mm long. There are products available in a syringe, which simplifies the preparation for the procedure, reduces the possibility of complications and the consumption of the product. Such products include Juvederm and Revi.
  4. Hyaluronic acid is first injected into the wrinkle lines of the neck and face to a depth of 1-2 mm. Other areas are then treated. The depth of insertion of the needle is 1-3 mm. The distance between the punctures is 0.5-1.5 cm.

After completing the injection treatment, the beautician treats the skin with a soothing agent and gives Care recommendations:

  • Avoid exposing your skin to ultraviolet light for 15 days.
  • 24 hours after facial biorevitalisation, do not touch the skin with your hands and refrain from using any cosmetics.
  • Drink 2 litres of water a day for the first 3-4 days.

 Conclusion

Regular, supportive courses of biorevitalisation will help you maintain your skin's youthfulness for as long as possible. Regular treatments have a cumulative effect, which means that they can be performed less frequently in the future.
